For years, this tiny town was nothing but a post office in the middle of nowhere, until the Texas & New Orleans Railroad laid tracks through town, making it an official stop along the line. Due to this favorable occurrence, the town was named after W.G. Van Vleck, the railroad official and superintendent responsible for choosing the path of the newly created railway.

Nearby, the Brazoria National Wildlife Refuge entertains with over 40,000 acres of coastline, salt marshes, wetlands, and an estimated 100,000 birds calling the park their temporary home.

Overall, we had a great experience with both the host and the RV. Steven was very helpful and accommodating to our vacation needs. The RV itself was well-equipped with all the amenities you could think of, and with the slides out, it felt very spacious. While not a deal breaker, the RV could have benefited from a thorough exterior wash after being in storage and a bit more interior cleaning (wiping and vacuuming). Would definitely consider rebooking for future vacations.

Mr Kevin was very nice and on point with answering any questions I had for him.. The drop off set up and pickup was accurate on time .The RV was fully stocked with everything from A to Z didn't need anything to complete our family gathering in the woods... I highly recommend Mr Kevin and can't wait to booked again .
