Discover Van Vleck RV rentals for memorable road trips

South of Houston by the Gulf of Mexico, you can book an RV in Van Vleck, Texas and have the vacation of a lifetime. This enchanting suburb of Bay City was first settled back in the 1830s by Bailey Hardeman who would die of a fever a year later. For years, this tiny town was nothing but a post office in the middle of nowhere, until the Texas & New Orleans Railroad laid tracks through town, making it an official stop along the line. Due to this favorable occurrence, the town was named after W.G. Van Vleck, the railroad official and superintendent responsible for choosing the path of the newly created railway.

My wife and I had the pleasure of taking Paul's Cedar Ridge teardrop camping over the holidays and what a treat! This little camper is capable, equipped, and so easy to haul and set up. The galley was perfect for meal prep and storage, attached OVS awning was a breeze to open (though not needed much with warm, cloudy days it kept the fall leaves away from the campside door), and sleep came easy for us and our 70lb Amstaff with the comfy mattress and Maxxair fan keeping the cabin cool and dry. Thoughtful touch with the addition of an extra mattress pad.
