My family first became interested in camping during the Covid shutdown of 2020. As a public school teacher with three children of our own in school, we found it unbearable to stay locked in our home so we took to the great outdoors. While others were locked indoors, we were free to travel to the beach, the Great Smokey Mountains, and stay at local state parks. All while teaching and learning from our home away from home. As our children have grown, we do not camp as often but we still enjoy our family road trips.
