Sprawling over 706 acres, this is a shallow lake with an average depth of nine feet and a maximum depth of 24 feet.
Gunnison Bend Reservoir has seven miles of shorelines. Much of the lake shorelines are privately owned, with only about 10 percent being accessible to the public. Gunnison Bend Park on the western shores of the lake is the only public access available. This park offers a myriad of outdoor activities for reservoir visitors.
