Getting Outdoors

The keen fishermen and women among you will be pleased to hear that Redmond Lake is somewhat of an anglers paradise. Channel catfish are among the most abundant fish here, five thousand of them being stocked in the lake annually. There are also numerous numbers of northern pike, mirror carp, largemouth bass, and smallmouth bass. Whether Redmond Lake campers wish to fish from the extensive shoreline or a boat out on the lake, with such fertile waters, anglers are unsuccessful.

Those who pick to go RV camping at Redmond Lake have several options when it comes to choosing a campsite. This all depends on camper’s personal preferences and how close they wish to be to the lake itself. Full hookups are provided here, including 20, 30, 50 amp electric, water, and sewer. Facilities include a dump station, laundrette, and an onsite swimming pool. Exploring the Area

Although small, the nearby town of Salina has a few points of interest for those at Redmond Lake. ‘Miss Mary’s Historical Museum' is one such place. This unique independent museum offers visitors the chance to learn more about Salina and the surrounding area’s history. The building itself is a historical landmark, having been built in the late 19th century as a Presbyterian Church and later a school.
