Although it is quite small compared to other state parks, it offers breathtaking views of Lake Chelan. The interpretive center at the park is a great place to learn about the park's complicated geology, and there are several areas where you can hike, swim, boat, go fishing, or golf on site. Washington is blessed with several of the most beautiful national parks in the entire United States, but Mount Rainier National Park is the one you should focus your attention on when you rent an RV in nearby Cashmere. The park is a three-hour drive away and is worth every minute of drive time. There are over 200,000 acres in the park, with nearly half the acreage consisting of old-growth forests with ancient groves. Mount Rainier is a massive stratovolcano that imposingly looms over all of western and central Washington, commanding the attention of all that see it. You can hike to the summit of this amazing mountain, but it is not for the faint of heart. There are plenty of campgrounds where you can park when you bring your Cashmere RV rental to this national treasure.
