Let's start with a few questions to narrow down your options.

Located in the heart of Putnam County, Indiana is the city of Greencastle. The city was founded in 1821 by Ephraim Duke who named it after his hometown of Greencastle, Pennsylvania. While a somewhat quiet city, it made headlines in the 1930s after John Dillinger robbed a local bank.
Greencastle is now known for its many festivals and farmers markets that are offered during the spring and summer. Its climate is somewhat mild although it can get to be very humid during the summer and frigid during the winter.
The state capital, Indianapolis, is located less than an hour to the northeast. Other cities close include Bainbridge, within 15 minutes north, and Martinsville lies about an hour to the southeast.
