Let's start with a few questions to narrow down your options.

The “Canoe Capital of Ohio” warmly welcomes RV camping in Mohican State Park with an array of activities. This 1,110-acre park is situated between Columbus and Cleveland, next to a state forest four times its size. It’s truly one of the last wild areas left in Ohio, with a variety of flora and fauna, a habitat for white-tailed deer, bald eagles, and red fox. Fishing, hiking, and spectacular views of the surrounding area are all popular at this park. Clearfork Gorge has been designated a National Natural Landmark and is one of the most scenic locations in Ohio. You’ll find no shortage of RV rentals in Ashland County to explore this beautiful area by motorhome.
Mohican State Park has a rich history that started in the last ice age, as glaciers crawled over what is now the park, carving out the gorges, ridges, and valleys that make up the current landscape. The Delaware tribe of Native Americans lived off the land that would eventually be settled by Europeans. Johnny Appleseed spent much of his time here, etching his name in a stone wall next to one of the park’s waterfalls. The name has since eroded, but visitors can find other remnants of history throughout the area. The current park was established in 1949, carved out of existing state forest land.
