Discover Clarkdale RV rentals for memorable road trips

In the heart of Arizona surrounded by national forest land, Clarkdale continues to be one of the best towns you’ve probably never heard of. Clarksdale was founded in the early 20th century by William A. Clark, a copper mine owner who set his sights on creating a mining and smelting town. As a result, the town is named for Clark and there are a few landmarks and monuments paying homage to him in the community. Although the mining and smelting operations would eventually shut down in the 1950s, Clarkdale would avoid the usual fate of abandoned mining towns due to its heavy investment in modern infrastructure.

Experience the Sites and Scenery

The mountainous regions of northern and central Arizona are vastly different from the flat desert lands to the south, and most first-time visitors to the state are unaware of the natural diversity in the Copper State. One of the best parts about deciding to rent an RV in Clarksdale is that you don’t really need to drive far to stumble on some stunning scenery. Dead Horse Ranch State Park is just outside of Clarksdale, and a fabulous place to start your trip. Known for its rugged hiking paths, rich riparian habitats, and incredible views, Dead Horse Ranch State Park is a pleasure to visit. There are miles of trails and hiking loops and a few campgrounds where you can park your Clarksdale RV rental too. On top of all that, the park hosts the Verde Valley Birding and Nature Festival each year in honor of the area’s rich assortment of wildlife species.

Where to Park It

The last thing you’ll need to worry about when you arrive in Clarkdale is finding a place to camp overnight. The town’s location in the middle of a national forest all but assures that you’ll find a place to stay with ease. Rain Spirit RV Resort is located right in the center of town, with lots of amenities. The in-ground pool is a good way to escape the dry heat of Arizona. Rio Verde RV Park is just outside of town, with tiny houses, RV camping, and tent camping too. When you stay here, you can enjoy riverfront access and a convenience store.

City Attractions

Clarkdale is an attraction itself, with lots of interesting ways to keep busy and have fun during your stay. There are lots of wonderful restaurants and trendy boutiques in the center of town, and tons of locally owned art galleries too. Since its founding, Clarkdale has always been an artsy space and the Arizona Copper Art Museum is a great reflection of this. The museum was started by the Clark family that first settled the town and has thousands of pieces of art on display. Copper items and artifacts from all over the world and a variety of time periods can be seen in this amazing place.

The trailer had everything you could need for your off road trip. We were able to have a great weekend with this trailer setup. You could live off grid if you wanted to with this. I would highly recommend using Connor and his trailer for any adventures.
