Lake Winona is an artificial lake situated near the small town of Paron, about 35 miles to the west of Little Rock, AR. In the ’30s, Little Rock applied to the Public Works Administration for cash to develop a new water system because the waters of Arkansas River were considered unsafe for drinking. A dam was created, and the resulting reservoir was named Lake Winona. To date, it remains a key source of water for Little Rock. Search for an RV in Pulaski County and go explore the lake and the vast Ouachita National Forest at your own pace.
