Getting an RV rental in Rescue is perfect for outdoor enthusiasts, adventurers, and lovers of Mother Nature. Just a half hour’s drive from Rescue, you can be at Eldorado National Forest, which has many outdoor recreational activities for singles, couples, and whole families. For those who like to hike and sightsee, there are dozens of trails scattered throughout the park that range from short and light to long and steep. For anglers, there are plenty of fishing locations year-round where you can find such species as lake trout, rainbow trout, and even kokanee salmon, among other species.
RV Parks
Hiking along the amazing trails provided by California’s federally protected land can get tiring and you’re gonna need somewhere to park that RV. The RV parks are lacking in quantity in Rescue proper, but there is one just a few miles south in the town of Placerville. The Placerville KOA has several RV parking spots with full hookups, Wi-Fi, and a large pavilion to relax and read a book in the shade. This spot also has some unique activities like a pool, recreation room, and they host movie nights on the weekends for all campers.
Exploring The City
You might need to look elsewhere if you’re looking to explore the city because of the quaintness of Rescue, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t any activities in the area. One of the biggest attractions in the area is the casino near Placerville, which is open 24 hours and has retail and restaurant spaces. Enjoy a hand of poker or try your luck with the slot machines — there is childcare available for those that are traveling as a family.

Sunshine (the Van) and Sunny (the host) both get 5-stars! We had an excellent experience. The camper is exactly as advertised and is quite comfortable to sleep in. There is a lot of storage under the bed and the rest of the van feels quite roomy. Sunny provided a great overview of everything before we hit the road and we didn't encounter any issues during our trip.
