The Great Outdoors

A short drive north of town is the Copeland Forest near Barrie. This local hideaway is favored for its extensive trail network through a relatively untouched part of the province. The tall pines tower over you as you explore the forest floor thanks to the various marked trails. In the late spring, the forest is also host to unique wildflowers only found in Southern Ontario. All of the trails in Copeland Forest are considered to be easy for everybody, no matter their hiking expertise. Additionally, part of the 200 kilometer (about 125 miles) Ganaraska Trail cuts through the forest, giving you the chance to explore even more of Southern Ontario.

We had a great trip in this modern, clean and comfortable trailer. It is easy to tow and to set up. It has a nice layout inside, and the slide out gives lots of space. The bathroom has good storage and a nice toilet and shower and with good pressure. The kitchen had everything we needed and the fridge, stove and microwave worked great.
The outdoor grill was handy and easy to put on. The queen bed has good storage on both sides. We brought a 2” foam topper to make it even more comfortable. We had a few questions for the host and she responded quickly. We would have appreciated an information sheet about how to work some things, like the light in the bathroom had a switch on the side of the vanity, and how to work the heat and AC. The heat worked great and was not too loud as in some trailers. We would rent this unit again.
