The community was named for one of the original settler’s daughters back in the 19th century and was eventually incorporated in 1887. Florence was established as a transportation hub with several railroads and a large depot in the middle of town. Much of the town’s growth can be attributed to the discovery of oil over 150 years ago, making Florence one of the very first oil centers in the west.

Brittny was an amazing host and super flexible with a last minute change and extension. She even reminded me of an add-on I did not need and prompt a quick refund. Sunni the van was wonderful and equipped for all our needs. It never left us without power and the solar panels recharged the batteries super fast. The best and interior was laid out in a very easy to use and comfortable, cozy way. We were able to enjoy the out doors during the day and enjoy a cozy movie night before bed. Highly recommend for exploring around Colorado!

This was our first time renting a trailer . Steven delivered it to our camp site and gave us a full tour of the trailer . He took a lot of time to explain how everything worked . The trailer was very clean and thankfully the heater worked well . This was a very easy and enjoyable trip thanks to Steven .
