While camping at Stagecoach State Park, your days will be jam-packed with activities that get you outdoors and enjoying nature. The Stagecoach Reservoir is a great place for anglers to cast their lines. Rainbow trout is abundant in the reservoir, ranging in size from 14 to 18 inches long. One of the largest Northern Pike in Colorado was reeled in from the Stagecoach Reservoir, a 30-pound, 46-inch long catch. The park office does offer rod rentals for lake and fly fishing. Ice fishing is also popular in the reservoir, and visitors can rent ice fishing equipment on-site, including augers and ice fishing kits.

The showers, dump station, and drinking water facilities are available between May and September.

Steamboat Springs boasts the Eagle Soaring RV Park, located about 30 minutes north of Stagecoach State Park. Camping with an RV near Stagecoach State Park doesn't mean you have to rough it; you can camp in style with 30 or 50-amp electric and convenient sewer hookups. Potable water is available along with restrooms and showers.

If you're not able to find a spot at the Stagecoach State Park RV campgrounds, check out the Red Mountain RV Park in Kremmling. This RV park can accommodate large rigs and offers pull-through campsites. Full hookups with 50-amp electric, water, and sewer are available, as well as a dump station. Guests can use the showers and laundry facilities.

While visiting Stagecoach State Park, you'll want to stop by the Old Town Hot Springs in Steamboat Springs. You can relax in the pools fed by natural hot spring water. You'll feel rejuvenated when you step out of the water. The natural pools have been in existence for over 100 years and are thought to have been first discovered and used by the Ute tribe. Treat yourself to a nice massage after soaking in the warm water before heading back to your rental RV.

The Howelsen Hill Ski Area, located in Steamboat Springs, is a great place to visit in the winter. Skilled skiers can test their abilities on a series of ski jumps. The Howelsen Hill Ski Area is the training facility for several Olympians in alpine and Nordic events. While camping at Stagecoach State Park, take a trip over to Steamboat Lake State Park, located only 27 miles north of Stagecoach. Steamboat Lake State Park is a 2,820-acre park with a 1,101-acre reservoir. Trails wind through the park for those wanting to enjoy nature. A full-service marina is available for those who love playing on the water. Just like Stagecoach State Park, visitors can also visit Steamboat Lake State Park in the winter and enjoy a variety of winter activities, such as snowmobiling, skiing, and ice fishing.
