Discover Cocoa rentals for memorable road trips

The lovely little town of Cocoa, Florida sits on the Indian River and draws in countless tourists each year. Less than an hour from Orlando, Cocoa has always been a popular stop for cruise ships, where throngs of visitors disembark and stroll about the historic downtown Cocoa to sightsee, shop, and enjoy one of the many incredible culinary experiences the town has to offer.

Due to the nearby Cape Canaveral, where many space shuttles have been launched, the entire region has been dubbed the “Space Coast”, and Cocoa is one if its many attractions. Before the space industry came to town, the sleepy coastal village existed as an agricultural community and, despite its elevation, became one of Florida’s greatest vacation destinations. Cocoa has definitely retained its small-town charm.

When you rent an RV in Cocoa, the entire east coast of Florida is your proverbial oyster. With Interstate 95 running through town, Miami and many other coastal cities are easy to get to in your Cocoa motorhome rental. The Florida East Coast Railway runs through town connecting Miami and Orlando, while the Space Coast Area Transit operates a bus system, so Cocoa has you covered when it comes to both long and short distance transportation.

Natural Beauty of Florida

Florida has come to be known as the Sunshine State, and it is easy to see why when you arrive. The weather is wonderful and, consequently, Floridians and tourists alike choose to spend most of their time outdoors. Florida also benefits from having hundreds of conservation areas, state parks, national parks, national forests, and legendary sandy beaches. While Cocoa doesn’t have a whole lot of nature to behold in its immediate vicinity, the area surrounding it is chock-full of outdoor experiences. Across the river from Cocoa, Ulumay Wildlife Sanctuary is a spectacular place to hike around and observe coastal creatures in their natural habitat. You might even spot a manatee in the saltwater inlets of the sanctuary. Pine Island Conservation Area is another exciting opportunity to interact with local wildlife and learn a thing or two. The 1,000-acre park has lots of trails that bring visitors through strange looking mangrove forests, swamps, and marshes, while others choose to navigate and explore using a canoe. A couple hours north, near Daytona Beach , Ocala National Forest is a sprawling collection of habitats spanning over 600 square miles. Ocala lies between the Ocklawaha and St. Johns Rivers and is home to pine forests, scrub land, prairies, small deserts, and remnants of natural forest fires. Ocala has several campgrounds for you and your Cocoa camper rental to park and stay, and you can see many different animals, including black bears, so keep your food secured! No trip to Florida would be complete without a trip to one of the states two incredible national parks. Everglades National Park is the largest tropical wilderness in the entire United States, and protects over 1.5 million acres of land. Everglades is home to countless wildlife species, and you can see crocodiles, alligators, and even Florida’s own state animal, the panther. In addition to its accommodating campgrounds, the park is great for hiking, canoeing, kayaking, bird watching, and fishing. Biscayne National Park is unique because most of the park is underwater and protects a great number of coral reefs that are vital to the local ecosystem. Biscayne is just a short drive south from Miami in your Cocoa RV rental and is a can’t-miss opportunity for avid scuba divers and snorkelers. No matter where you choose to go, there are so many neat places to see when you book an RV rental in Cocoa with the hopes of exploring the Sunshine State.

We had a lovely time and felt right at home in the spacious camper. King size bed was comfy. Kevin made it so easy to rent and had the outdoor area setup beautifully when we got there with outdoor rugs, two chairs and a Bucky chair couch. Camper was clean and required very little of us to return! Awesome host! A few things to keep in mind for your comfort and not expected from a host: -Bring extra blankets if you get cold easily…AC works well -Bring extra pillows if you need more than one per person -If you’re planning to really cook it up, bring a good knife and spatula. They had some, but I like mine and travel with them -Hand towels and wash clothes not provided but TP, paper towels, and disinfectant wipes were

Our trip was awesome! The RV was easy to drive and we enjoyed the scenery as we traveled through multiple states. We had all the necessities and our dog which comfortably fit in the spacious interior of this RV. The sleeping accommodations were quite comfortable and the A/C climate control was great. Since we had no experience driving / traveling in an RV, we had a few questions along the way (all of which were answered quickly). Ryan was very responsive and considerate while quickly resolving any questions at hand. Great customer service!!! Looking forward to our next RV adventure!
