Whether or not you are a car buff, you will enjoy the Tampa Bay Automobile Museum. The cars are a private collection, and you might even meet the owners who will tell you all about the cars. If not, the other members of staff are very knowledgeable and will give you all the information you need. You will see cars from the earliest examples of the 1770s to the futuristic cars of the 1960s. You will be amazed that some of the things associated with cars are not as modern as we like to think; for example, electric cars, aluminium bodies and engines, and rotary engines. None of the exhibits are roped off, so you will have the opportunity to examine them closely. They are all accompanied by informative panels. Most of the cars here are European, many are one-of-a-kind, and they are driven regularly. There is a shop next door, where they restore cars.
