Florida Caverns Campground

While camping at Florida Caverns Campground, you'll definitely want to explore the Florida Caverns State Park. This 1,300-acre state park is unique as it features a network of limestone caves, which you can explore on a guided tour with a park ranger. These beautiful caves are full of rock formations, and the park's also the perfect place for nature watching, with a variety of creatures including bats and salamanders inhabiting the caves. If you're looking for activities outside the caverns, the Chipola River runs through the park, and is ideal for fishing, with mullet, bass, and sunfish all available. If you're up for a hike, multiple trails will take you along the river and up cliff sides, giving you sublime views of the park below. Another state park well worth visiting with your RV rental near Marianna is the Three Rivers State Park. This scenic park is situated where the Flint and Chattahoochee Rivers run into Lake Seminole. As a result, this park is a popular fishing spot, and catches include largemouth bass, bream, and catfish. The lake is surrounded by rolling hills and pine forests, making it an excellent spot for hikers, with over seven miles of trails available for hiking and biking. If you want to experience the rivers and lakes a different way, you can rent a canoe or kayak from the park office and paddle downstream. When you're RV camping at Florida Caverns Campground, you can also visit Falling Waters State Park. This park features Florida's biggest waterfall, Falling Waters Sink, with a drop of 73 feet; it's an excellent spot for photographers. There are also various sinkholes located around the park for you to explore, and boardwalk trails provide a unique hiking experience. Birding is another popular activity, and there are over 100 different species to spot. There are also two freshwater lakes with white sand beaches, making this a great place for swimming and sunbathing.
