This park is located along the St Johns River and is historic due to an army encampment located at the park during the Civil War. Visitors are welcome to explore the remnants of the old earthworks fort that once stood here, making this a great hiking spot. There are even replica canons and a stone monument where you can learn more about the area's history. Once you've explored the park, you're welcome to enjoy a riverside picnic at one of the picnic tables.
