Getting Outdoors

Stretching across nearly 6,000 acres, getting out and about on the water is no problem when you rent a camper near Lake Weir. If you are motorhome camping with your own vessel in tow, head to one of the easily accessible boat ramps located in Carney Island Conservation and Recreation Area. Although there are no boat rental facilities here, you can hire one from an outlet in the nearby town of Belleview if needed. Thanks to the lake’s calm and sheltered waters, kayaking canoeing and even sail boating are popular pastimes on the lake. However, with no speed limit enforced on the lake, many also enjoy a spot of waterboarding or jet skiing when camping at Lake Weir.

Camping at Lake Weir

Although there are no campgrounds on the lake itself, RV camping near Lake Weir is possible if you head a little further afield.

We both couldn't be happier with the camper and its owners. Everything was set up to perfection with lots of goodies and plenty of all the equipment needed for a happy stay. If any questions arose it was answered spot on. I would definitely use this camper next year. A solid 10 experience!

Our camper was great, however, we recommended you guys to our friends, The Collins family and to say they had a less than desirable experience would be an understatement. We have rented from you guys multiple times and will again in the future but the unit that was delivered to my friends was in horrible condition and ended up not only having maintenance/repair issues, when it came to repairing it they didn't even bother to turn on the AC to cool the unit down and it smelled horrible for the duration of the stay. They are gracious people and not sure they would say anything but as a repeat customer and the person that referred them, i felt compelled to convey my issues.
