General Coffee State Park is a park located in the southern part of Georgia near the town of Douglas, with both being located in Coffee County. The county and the park are named for General John E Coffee, a farmer, politician, and general in the Georgia militia. General Coffee oversaw the construction of a road through southern Georgia that came to be known as Coffee Road. Now, the road is known as "Old Coffee Road."
