The Great Outdoors
There are a few parks to discover within the city limits when you book an RV in Fort Madison, and one to visit is Rodeo Park. This park covers over 200 acres of fields and woodland and includes a 1.5-mile hiking and bicycle trail. There are loads of places to have a picnic here, including six pavilions and lots of open space. There are opportunities to play sports here too, including softball, horseshoes, and even disc golf if you're feeling competitive.
RV Parks
There are a few RV Parks in and around the city to consider when you rent a motorhome in Fort Madison, including the Wilson Lake County Park. This campground consists of roughly 20 gravel sites, a quarter of which have no hookups and the rest providing electrical hookups that support 30 amp electric. This basic campground offers few amenities but does have restrooms and showers. The main reason many travelers stay at this campground is its proximity to Wilson Lake, which provides recreational activities including swimming, boating, and much more.
Exploring the City
As Fort Madison is one of the county seats of Lee County, you should have plenty to do when you rent an RV here. If you want a change of scenery, there are lots of nearby cities, including Burlington and Dallas City, which are less than 30 miles away. If you want to learn more about Fort Madison, plan a visit to the North Lee County Historical Society. This museum can be found in the beautiful Old Santa Fe Depot building and contains hundreds of artifacts, photographs, and documents dedicated to preserving the history of the area. This historical society manages some of the most interesting buildings and locations in Fort Madison, including the old county jail, a 1940's steam engine, and much more.

Scott was so accommodating. He kept a good communication and was very responsive. They were so nice and so easy to talk to. The trailer had everything we needed and more. It was very clean and comfortable and exactly how the picture shows. The surprise goody bag was a nice surprise. I will definitely rent it again. It was such a positive experience that we would like to rent again and make it a yearly thing.

This RV has two gray and two black tanks which makes it especially nice for longer stays in the trailer. It also has two AC units. Lots of room and easy to use!
