About an hour’s drive east of Edmonton is Daniel Boone National Forest. This forest has some of the most rugged terrains west of the Appalachian Mountains with steep forested slopes, sandstone cliffs, and narrow ravines. There are several lakes and streams in the forest, where you can swim, picnic, boat, fish, and relax. It is a nice place for hiking, rock climbing, hunting, and camping.
