Discover New Baltimore RV rentals for memorable road trips

The first known European visitor was Pierre Yax, a German explorer, who arrived in New Baltimore in 1796. French trappers and farmers slowly trickled into southeastern Michigan in the subsequent years. In 1845, Alfred Ashley, who was an entrepreneur, purchased some farmland and divided the land into lots. He sold these lots to other settlers and called this fledgling new town Ashleyville. In 1867, the residents voted to become a proper town and changed the name to New Baltimore.

The Great Outdoors

Wake up to the sounds of nature and birdsong right outside your window when you rent an RV in New Baltimore. A travel trailer rental opens up a world of adventure and fun, especially on Lake St. Clair. The Canada-United States border divides the lake nearly in half, an on the USA side, there are several marinas with public docks. Some of these marinas have boats, kayaks, pontoons, and canoes for rent, also. Lake St. Clair is purported to be one of the world’s best muskie and walleye fishing spots. After catching your fish, head over to one of Michigan’s Catch-and-Cook restaurants where they’ll grill, sauteed, fry, or bake your fish for you. Fishing isn’t the only recreational activity, though. Swim, windsurf, tube, and dive. During the Prohibition Era in the 1920s, rum runners regularly used Lake St. Clair to transport illegal booze into Detroit, and a few inevitably wrecked. There are reports of old bottles of rums and moonshine being found around the wrecks. Muscamoot Bay is a notorious party spot; boaters and rafters often will congregate there. A festival is held right on the water annually, usually in early August.

Our first time renting an RV and the whole process was smooth. Dwayne set everything up for us, all we did was show up at the check-in time. He also was kind enough to come early on checkout day since we had a long drive home. Great communication. The RV includes all the basic things you will need to cook pretty much anything. We opted for the additional BBQ and it was clean and convenient. We also cooked on the burner in the RV itself when it got rainy. RV is clean and like new, no leaks (we sat through a long and windy rainstorm). It has an electric heater that warms up the entire thing very quickly, we turned it off cause it was so effective after a running it a few minutes. The bunk beds are great size for kids, we used it to store all of the stuff we had. It's spacious inside and the bed is plenty of space for two adults and its comfortable. Compact RV size but spacious inside, fits most campsites. We opted for the addon to have them clean the sewage too, I highly recommend opting for that if they still offer it. Shower is good, water is hot, compact but fits one adult. Great value for the price.

This is our second time renting this RV from Tom. We are a family of 5 (12, 11 and 8 year old). Each kid had their own bed, one in the bed over the drivers chair (which can sleep up to three kids comfortably), one in the sofa and one on the convertible dinette. My husband and I slept in the master room w a huge closet and door to the bathroom. Amazing experience all around. Professional and timely communication. We drove about 4 hours both times without any issues. All of our questions were answered when we were on our trips w bonus check ins from Tom. Rv is modern, runs beautifully and is so clean. We used his sheets and towels and they all smelled clean. Tons or storage space throughout while still having all the necessities including toaster and coffee machine. Flexible pickup and drop off time made for smooth packing and unpacking (or as smooth as it was gonna be). We would rent again for sure. Thank you Tom for sharing your RV with us.
