Getting Outdoors
A unique aspect of the park is the Maybury Track Chair Program, an initiative that encourages people to go motorhome camping in the area. The program has been created to help visitors explore areas of the park where traditional wheelchairs cannot reach. They are off-road electronic chairs that can handle many terrains, including snow, sand, and even up to 8 inches of water. The chairs are available on a first-come, first-served basis and are free to use for the day, offering opportunities for those who may not have felt able to explore the area by themselves.
Camping at Maybury State Park
A nearby campground to Maybury State Park and the lake is Has Lake Campground, perfect if you want to park up your RV rental for a weekend, a week, or even a whole season. It is a huge campground with 494 sites available, some of which are water and electric, and some are full hook-ups. There are also pull-thru sites and some waterfront sites, so something to suit everyone's needs. The RV park has plenty of facilities, including a general store, clean restrooms, laundry facilities, a playground, and more. The recreational building has lots of entertainment options, and in nicer weather, there is always something going on outdoors.

An interesting place to visit when you are visiting Maybury State Park for all is the Henry Ford Museum. This museum allows you to walk alongside one of the country's greatest innovators, Henry Ford. It tells the story of the creation of this iconic brand through a range of artifacts and exhibits. As the largest indoor and outdoor museum in the US, you can rest assured that there is plenty to see and do. You'll be able to see some of the most famous vehicles in existence, including the Rosa Parks bus and the presidential limousine of John F. Kennedy.

Adam was a great host. Communication was easy and responses were quick coming. Adam was very thorough is explaining the amenities, setup and answering any questions to make are trip very enjoyable. The camper is well maintained and clean. The provided anti-sway hitch made smooth pulling of the camper. Would not hesitate to rent this camper from Adam again in the future.

Excellent experience from beginning to end. The site is very thorough and makes it easy to rent an RV. Our host Hanna was absolutely awesome with quick communication throughout the process, even when asked questions before we booked her perfect camper, and her support during our trip was most appreciated. Heat/AC, full bath w/ shower are treats we aren't used to at camp. The camper pulls very well and with electric brakes you forget it's following sometimes. It's very well appointed with everything you need to set up a great camp. We would and most likely will rent from Hanna again if still available.
