The Great Outdoors
One of the best reasons to rent an RV in Joplin is its proximity to Grand Falls. Grand Falls is the largest waterfall in Missouri, drawing visitors from across the state. This continuously running waterfall is very wide and measures over 150 feet across. Grand Falls is the perfect place for a family photo and an ideal spot for a picnic, with plenty of benches scattered around the park. The waterfall features scenic overlooks of the creek below, and children are welcome to play in the small pools surrounding the falls.
RV Parks
There are a few campgrounds around the city to consider when you have an RV rental in Joplin, and one of the closest is Joplin Shoal Creek RV Park. This park contains around 80 paved sites, each with full hookups and max amp electric. Roughly half of these sites are pull-through, and there's space for slide outs. Recreation activities include a pond for fishing, and within 10 miles, there is a marina for various water sports.
Exploring the City
Due to its size, you should be able to find everything you need in Joplin, and if not, the city of Springfield is about an hour's drive away. There are quite a few attractive places to visit when you have a motorhome rental from Joplin, and one of the best places to visit is the George Washington Carver National Monument. One of the most famous former inhabitants of Joplin, George Washington Carver was well-known for his association with peanuts as well as many inventions. Visitors to this park will learn about the famous inventor through guided tours and can even visit the remains of the log cabin where he was born. This park also contains nature trails, community activities including painting, and a re-creation of the Washington Carver log cabin.

We loved the Jucy Lucy!! My wife and I went to Roaring River state park for 4 incredible nights! Working with the owners was incredibly easy! Pickup and drop off super quick and again easy. They worked well with our times. The Jucy Lucy didn’t let us down once. Comfy bed, A/C on 100 degree days, private bathroom, refrigerator/freezer, microwave, propane stove and electric skillet. All of them worked great! If you are on the fence Get Off! This camper is amazing and we will definitely be renting it again!
