My girlfriend and I took Poppy from the Midwest to New England and back and had an absolute blast! We did it in 11 days. The van was both more comfortable and easier-driving than we expected. We slept very well—the furnace helped during the October nights. I slept in the pop-top twice, but given the time of year, preferred sleeping downstairs most nights. At 6' 1", that downstairs bed was *just* big enough for me. The fridge kept our food cool and we made coffee every morning on the gas burner. The van cruises very comfortably down the interstate, and the turning radius is surprisingly tight.
