Meacham Lake Campground

Meacham Lake Campground is the perfect location when you are seeking a peaceful spot for your next RV camping vacation. Meacham Lake covers an area of over 1,200 acres, and Meacham Lake Campground is the only development here, making this an idyllic RV camping site. Whether you are looking for a lakeside campsite or something secluded under the canopy of trees, you can find it here. Of the more than 200 campsites, 45 are on the water’s edge, so reserve in advance when that’s what you are looking for.

Meacham Lake Campground is a basic campground, and none of the sites have electricity or water hookups, but there are plenty of drinking water supplies and several restrooms with showers. To keep the family occupied while camping at Meacham Lake Campground, there’s a playground, picnic areas with grills, plus very easy access to the lake. Fishing, swimming, boating, and hiking are all popular here, and there are two boat launches to access the water.

This really is an area of little development, with just small communities close by, and very close to the national border with Canada. The nearest town of any size is Malone, NY, around 30 minutes to the north, with the smaller town of Paul Smiths, NY is a little closer to the south. To the east is Champlain Lake, a huge expanse of water, with the city of Plattsburgh on its shore.
