North Bay Campground

When RV camping at North Bay Campground, you will find many fun outdoor activities to explore in the nearby area. In particular, this is an amazing area for water activities. The campground itself is located on a lake, and it is also in proximity to many other large lakes, such as Oneida Lake, Cross Lake, and Onondaga Lake. The Oswego River also runs through the center of town and connects many of these lakes together. If you don't already have a boat, it's worth renting one or taking a guided boat tour to experience the magic of being out on the water. There are many kayak and canoe outfitters in the area, or if you're feeling more daring, you can try jet skiing or paragliding. The campground is also a short drive from the town of Oswego, which sits on the shores of Lake Ontario. This is another amazing place to go boating and fishing. Lake Ontario is a popular fishing destination for trout and salmon, and although fishing in a large lake can be challenging, it is also very rewarding. Oswego also offers plenty of amazing places to just sit and enjoy the view. The lake is particularly stunning at sunset, and one of the best places to see it is Fort Ontario Park. This park sits right on the shoreline and is home to an old historic fort that you can walk around and explore. Flat Rock Beach is another incredible place to take in the shoreline - bring a picnic and your camera to take it all in. If you enjoy hiking, be sure to take a short drive south to Beaver Lake Nature Center and the Three Rivers Wildlife Management Area while camping in an RV at North Bay Campground. There are several hiking and biking trails in both parks, and they are also popular places for bird watching. Both parks also have lakes inside, but be sure to check fishing regulations before you go. Trails in this area are generally flat and appropriate for all ability levels. During the winter, there are also options for cross-country skiing and snowshoeing within driving distance.
