The Great Outdoors

Virtually every part of Ohio has something to offer when it comes to nature-centric vacations, and the area around Carey is no exception. Malabar Farm State Park is worthy of consideration when you pick up your Carey camper rental. Malabar Farm was once home to an award-winning author by the name of Louis Bromfield This scenic farm park has historical cabins, cottages, and an old inn on the donated land. The park hosts a few awesome events each year, like the Maple Sugaring Festival and the Heritage Days Festival.

RV Parks

There may not be any places to camp in town, but you will easily find an RV park or campground when you take a trip north “Vacationland,” the name given to the recreational wonderland along the shores of Lake Erie. Tee Pee Family Campground is a seasonal park where you can stay the night in your Carey RV rental by owner. There are over 200 campsites, a large swimming pond with beaches, volleyball courts, and a camp store.

City Sightseeing

Carey is a peaceful village of a few thousand people, and there are not a whole lot of things to do in the town itself. That being said, it is still a great place to rent an RV, for its friendly atmosphere and nearby attractions. The Basilica and National Shrine of Our Lady of Consolation is an architectural treasure as well as an important place of worship for Catholics. You don’t have to be religious to tour and appreciate this human-made wonder. Ornate stained glass windows alone make a visit to this landmark worth it.

I rented the View from Heath and it was pure magic! Easy to drive, plenty of room with the slide out for my two pups and I, and super comfy! Heath was excellent to work with - he checked in with me throughout my trip to make sure everything was good to go and the process was seamless. I will definitely be renting from Heath again. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
