Since opening in 1965, the 1,000-animal zoo has been located on forty acres in Fort Wayne's Franke Park and continuously ranks among the top zoos in the U.S. The zoo is separated into four major exhibits, each with its own selection of animals. These include ‘The African Journey,’ featuring lions, zebras, and giraffes. ‘The Australian Adventure’ featuring kangaroos, dingos, and Tasmanian devils. This family-focused day out is a must-see for anyone visiting the city of Fort Wayne.
