Tucked away about 40 miles to the south of Toledo lies the city of Findlay. Findlay is the county seat of Hancock County and the second largest city in Northwest Ohio. The medium-sized town sits directly north of Arlington and is around 82 miles away from the city of Columbus. Book an RV rental in Hancock County and explore Northwest Ohio with the pleasures of home away from home.

The long history and heritage of the city spans back to over two decades ago during the war of 1812. During the war, Colonel James Findlay built a road through the area for the purpose of transporting troops during the area when he built a fort, Fort Findlay. After the war, a community emerged and the first lots were laid in 1821 by Elnathan Corry and Joseph Vance.

The Great Outdoors

Van Buren State Park is set between a rich agricultural area surrounded by lush wheat, corn and soybean fields. Named after Martin Van Buren, the eighth president of the United States, the state park is set up in a scenic wooded area complete with a lake for a peaceful outing with your motorhome rental from Findlay. Apart from a wonderful fishing opportunity and loads of hiking trails, you can also try out some disc golf or set up a family picnic by the woods.

If you fancy a good time without leaving the city limits with your RV rental, Rawson Park is a nicely laid out park that features probably anything you would need to do in a park. A walk at night around the park with the lights would also be heavenly.

When you choose to stay for a couple of days in a Findlay camper rental, you will need to find a way to keep fit. That is where Blanchard River Greenway Bike Trail comes in. The greenway also features a walkway along the river as well as fishing areas and a boat launch point.
