The lake is home to a variety of fish species, waiting to be landed by Arrowhead State Park campers. The lake is best known for its bass fish and is the reason many fishing tournaments are held here every year. Bass varieties include largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, and sand bass, and alongside the bass fish, there is also an abundant number of catfish and crappie. Arrowhead State Park’s shoreline spans many miles, providing endless fishing spots for even the pickiest angler.

Alongside the excellent fishing to be had at Arrowhead State Park, boating is also a must. Again, being so close to the gigantic Eufaula Lake means that an endless water playground is there waiting to be explored. Accessing the water is also a simple undertaking, Arrowhead State Park has several boat ramps that are free to use. Those motorhome camping without their own boats can head to the nearby ‘Area 51 Marina,’ perfect for hiring a range of boats, including canoes and kayaks.
