Built-in 1948 by the United States Army Corps of Engineers, Canton Lake is a huge body of water located in the state of Oklahoma. The lake is the ideal vacation destination for lovers of the great outdoors, those that enjoy water sports, and those who simply want to admire the stunning red soiled scenery of the area.

The lake sits on the North Canadian River, just 2 miles north of the town of Canton, from which the lake got its name. With camping, picnicking, boating, fishing, and hunting, it is one of the only places in western Oklahoma that offers these kinds of activities, meaning that many people come to rent an RV in Blaine County so they can make use of the activities. The lake is easily accessible from nearby towns such as Watonga, Seiling, and Fairview, with Oklahoma City not too far away.
