Experience the Sites and Scenery
When you rent an RV in Oregon, you'll find a number of parks and recreation areas to check out. No matter where you find yourself in the state, you are sure to be within the range of some pretty incredible mountains, beaches, or forests. Silver Falls State Park is a fabulous natural refuge and a wonderful way to start your trip off right. This 9,000-acre park is one of the largest in the state, brimming with evergreen forests and tranquil hiking paths that weave their way through wooded groves of conifer trees. Most people enjoy heading to Silver Falls to see one of nearly a dozen waterfalls, like the South Falls that comes in at over 175 feet high. You can just as easily bring your Gervais motorhome rental to Milo McIver State Park, a lush wilderness teeming with wildlife. There you can see some of the rare Townsend’s big-eared bats, an endangered species of tiny vesper bat. There are massive yew trees that rank among the largest in the state and make for excellent photographs. You can ride horses or mountain bike through the woods if walking isn’t your style, and enjoy camping at peaceful campgrounds at the park in the comfort of your Gervais RV rental, should you feel the urge to stay a few extra days.
Where to Park It
When you rent an RV in Gervais, you will obviously need a place to park and sleep overnight. Fortunately, there are a few options near the town that you can take advantage of. Silver Spur RV Park has an in-ground pool, a hot tub, and cozy cabins available for rent. The RV park is close to the downtown area of Silverton, making it easy to shop for groceries or go out for a bite to eat.
City Attractions
While you find yourself in Gervais, there are a few places in or near the town where you can pass the time in between expeditions into the woods and parks. There are shopping outlets, tulip farms, iris gardens, and a handful of other walking areas where simply going for a stroll can adequately keep you satisfied. The Willamette Mission State Park is not far from town and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. There are ghost structures built in place of the original buildings that once inhabited the riverside village, to represent what the settlement once looked like.

We had a wonderful experience renting the Pacific Wonder Van from Jennifer and Jason! The van was clean, well kept, and easy to use. The dinette bed folded down and back up without any hassle (I highly recommend adding the bed pad for a little extra cushion—slept great with it!). The van was fully stocked with everything we needed to prepare meals, and the outdoor shower attachment (with hot water!) was a thoughtful touch that made our trip even more comfortable.
