Lake Arthur is found on the eastern side of Pennsylvania, a mere 30 miles from the state border with Ohio. The tiny hamlet of Portersville, PA, sits just southwest of the lake. The nearest larger town is Butler, found around 15 miles to the southwest, while the large city of Pittsburgh is a little less than 50 miles to the south.
