About 20 minutes' drive east of the campground near Morrisdale, you can visit Saint Severin's Old Log Church. Built in 1851 by German settlers, the church looks the same as it did in its early days. Originally, the church served to up to 30 parishioners; it was closed in the 1880s when a new church was built. The inside remains the same, and you can still see wooden benches and other interior finishes. This one-and-a-half-story building is located in a beautiful natural setting. When you visit, you can have a nice picnic or stroll through the grounds.
