1-Star Review: Worst RV Experience – Unsafe, Unreliable, and No Support This was by far the worst RV experience we’ve ever had. From the moment we picked it up, the alarms were constantly going off, and the solar battery system was malfunctioning, which meant I couldn’t even run my CPAP machine. The entire electrical and battery system was unreliable—even after bringing my own generator as a backup, the RV still wouldn’t function properly. Alarms went off repeatedly in the middle of the night, making it impossible to sleep. Things got so bad that my wife and daughter had to sleep in a tent. The cabinets were falling apart, and the RV was stocked with junky, garage-sale-quality dishes and silverware—definitely not what you expect at $300 a night. We attempted to contact Destination RV for support. After multiple calls, we received only one return call, during which the owner seemed confused and said, “That’s strange… something must be wrong with the solar. Let me check with my technicians.” We never received a follow-up. We ended up driving the full three hours home with a constant beeping sound in the background. Again, we called—still no support. Completely unacceptable. Avoid this rental at all costs.

People were kind. Only positive. RV drove terribly. Alignment off. Blew a tire. Come to find out the tires were over 6 years old. Luckily I know how to drive and managed to get to the side of the road in the desert and safely bring to a stop. These was a major safety concern in the number 1 way RV’s wreck is tire blowouts. Add in the fact of Arizona roads are not the best, but this blew out going 60 down a 2 lane road at night, at random. It was insane to find that they were dry rotting and they marked the tires as great. Sure the tread depth was good. But that does not make a tire good. We should not have to pay for any damages resulting as we were lucky to make it out alive. The spare tire drove 10x better. Probably the reason it drove so poor was the condition of the aged rubber.
