1997 Dodge Ram Van - Astro Turf ROOF DECK

San DiegoCA

Take your dream trip up or down the CA coastline, or head inland in this unique, one of a kind van conversion that turns heads and has a great vibe. The van is called "El Toro" and has bull horns mounted on the front of the roof rack. The van is perfect for anyone looking to explore the west coast in an alternative style RV in search of the perfect wave or adventure. The coolest part of the van is the turf roofdeck where you can lay out with a beer in hand and watch the waves roll-in while enjoying the sunset or use it as a rack to put your surfboards on. The main van cabin is outfitted with wood vinyl floors, interior bed, drawers, a swiveling captains chair, 4 vented windows and curtains for full privacy. The main cabin is is powered by 2 deep cycle (200 AMP hours) batteries that are charged via the alternator (while driving) or the solar panel. The batteries connect to an inverter with 4 standard plug outlets (120 V DC) and 2 USB outlets. They also connect to a cooler / fridge, a Klipsch speaker (bluetooth connection). A strip of colored LED lights make for the perfect mood once the sun goes down. There is plenty of storage underneath the bed or in the cabinets. In addition to the powered fridge / cooler, the van comes with an additional RTIC cooler for your drinks. After a day hiking or surfing, you can rinse yourself off with the 5 gallon, pressurized (air compressor provided) road shower that is attached to the side of the van. The van carries an awning that extends 8 feet from the van is very convenient and easy to set up and take down and will keep you cool on a hot day - perfect if staying in one spot for multiple days. The van comes with 2 outdoor chairs and table and all the cooking essentials (pan / pots, utensils and other basic necessities) which are stored under the bed. For an additional charge, feel free to rent these items to help with your trip: --- gas powered grill and additional burner --- lockable straps to tie down your surfboards on roofdeck (kanulock straps) --- Tent, sleeping bag, outdoor pillow and sleeping pad In response to someones review - the cabinets have been fixed and now work perfectly; and the sideview mirrors are now sturdy and safe. Also in response to the same review, I recently purchased two new deep cycle batteries, significantly increasing the power capacity in the main cabin from previous. A couple things to note - the van does not currently have working air conditioning, so it may get hot if you plan to go to the desert in the summer. The van is Insulated which helps keep the van cool and outside of those super hot days it has never been a problem. The van has a fan which can be used in the main cabin if needed (plugs into the inverter). Any questions please do not hesitate to ask, and happy travels!! -Eddy

The van was perfect. Drove well and was comfortable for two people to sleep and find surf. Thanks Eddy!

I just came back from a 10-day trip in Southern California in Eddy's van -- and it was amazing! The reason why I started looking for a van was that I could bring very little luggage with me: I didn't have room for tent, burner, sleeping bag, etc. in my 30-liter backpack. Yet, I wanted to visit...

I asked Edgardo a bbuuunnnnchhhhhh of questions, and he was very patient with me. I'm really grateful that I was able to get the rental through Eddy. I had FOUR other owners cancel on me -- SO FRUSTRATING. A few drawbacks though: If you have a lot of electronics that need to be charged, it may be...
