Classy, easy to drive, hand-crafted, and super cute inside!
Sorry but NO BURNING MAN requests.
UPDATE: We are selling this beautiful creature for $88,500
We have travelled all over this beautiful world, and we love to support people in their journeys!! I designed the van myself after TONS of research, and I do offer consulting if you are considering building out one yourself.
I took the utmost care to see that my design was hand-built with 100% non-toxic and eco-friendly materials such as Marmoleum floors (made with pressed flower petals and linseed oil!), sustainably harvested Maple and Bamboo, and all stains, sealants & glues are all 100% formaldihyde-free and non-toxic.
It is a surprisingly smooth ride, has 7 speeds on the powerful automatic transmission. It's got an incredibly strong and fuel efficient Diesel engine with less than 31K miles on it...gets about 24 miles to the gallon!!! The side window in slider-door, and back-up-camera make backing up and maneuvering way easier than it might seem at first glance. The van has "Baja" tires for better off-road traction.
The Silver Surfer Eco Van has a cutting edge "Dry-Flush Toilet" (doesn't smell & no tank to empty!!), sink with running water, fridge with freezer, and 12v and 110 power throughout. 3 house batteries give you power for about 36 hours, and then driving for about 20 mins recharges them. No need for solar unless you are camping in one place for an extended time, and if that's the case I have a panel you can take with you.
Couch pulls out into a comfy King sized bed with sheets, both down &/or non-down pillows, and down &/or non-down comforters provided. if 3 people don't want to share the Kig up top, the aisle is wide enough and I provide a Thermarest, and you'd probably want to bring your sleeping bag, or I can provide extra bedding if you request it.
Solar outdoor shower hooks to a pressure pump and has a hand-held shower nozzle, creating excellent water pressure. Bath towels, shampoo/conditioner & Dr Bronner's soap, as well as a little bamboo platform to stand on to keep your feet clean, are all provided.
Cooking set up consists of a 2-burner propane stove & a metal folding camp kitchen table. All cooking gear, cups/mugs/plates/bowls, utensils, pots & pans, etc. are provided all included at no extra charge. Cooking needs to be done outside of the van and the stove has a little shelf it sits on when the slider door is open (see pics). If you'll be staying for a while at your campsite the metal folding table I provide is nice for a more elaborate cooking scene.
Inside the van there is a fold up/down dinette table for eating, working or playing games, plus so many clever design details, make life on the road in this tiny-home so fun.
The Silver Surfer Eco Van has a great stereo and strong Air Conditioning in the front while driving, but no A/C unit for when you are parked. For all other appliances, it has "shore power" and electrical outlets if you'd like to plug in at an RV park or at a friend's house, via the long extension cord I provide.
3rd seat is a "jump seat" in the middle between the 2 front seats. This has a lap belt only/no shoulder strap and is 100% legal. It is quite comfortable! If you are bringing a car seat, it will fit up front.
Bikes can be hung and locked to the back ladder, or they can fit in the aisle between the cabinets. There is also a trailer hitch should you need to tow anything up to 5,000 lbs, or if you have a bike rack you'd like to attach.
You can leave your car in my driveway while you are on your adventure.
Pick up time is 4pm or later, and the van is due back by Noon on the day of return. Happy to be a little flexible with the times, give or take 20-30 mins. Quarter and Half-Day rates apply for variations of more than this.
I find great joy in providing travelers with an amazing and memorable experience!!
I've put the utmost care into creating your beautiful Home-On-The-Go....I hope you will LOVE it!
When you contact me, please tell me about your driving history and let me know whether you've even been in an accident/how long ago. If you've driven larger vehicles in the past, please do let me know that too!
We can't wait to hear from you!
