Information About Knoxville, TN
Most visitors come to Knoxville to stay in a city only steps away from the iconic Great Smoky Mountains National Park, which is just one part of an impressive network of vast parks and nature preserves that dominate the eastern part of Tennessee. There are also some interesting vestiges of the region's long history here, like the excavated burial mound on the University of Tennessee campus that dates back more than 3000 years. Other points of interest include homes and settlements that date back to the Revolutionary War and the first European explorers. Cruise through town with your RV and see them before turning your wheels toward the mountains, and an untouched region of natural wilderness that stretches from the Kentucky state line all the way to Chattahoochee National Forest in Georgia. Rent an RV in Knoxville to get the most of your road trip, and the popularity of recreational vehicles locally means there are several different kinds available. Spend a few days exploring the area's Civil War sites or take a few weeks to wander through the legendary misty mountains.

Known as the biggest "ticketed" tourist attraction in Tennessee. A great amusement park with exciting rides, where you can also find arts and crafts, and even catch a musical performance by Dolly Parton. You can also take the kids to the splash park which also forms part of this giant theme park.
A museum as big as the Titanic see real artifacts and stick your hand in water that is cold as the water Jack and Rose... err the real victims hit when that giant ship went down.
Located a short walk from downtown or quick ride on the shuttle this large RV park is tucked off the highway with large sites and pretty trees. What makes this location so great for families in RV rentals is the adjacent recently updated community park. With miles of trails, ball fields and playgrounds it offers a great way for the kids to blow off steam without annoying the neighbors.
Next to RV parks Pigeon Forge is probably most noted for its wide choice of miniature golf choices. you could spend a week in town and not play all of the courses available. As a bonus each course is usually convenient to go-kart track too!
The park is known for having the largest RV sites outside of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. You can enjoy the sounds of fresh running water, as the campground is located between two creeks, Walden Creek and Cove Creek, and your site will be surrounded by beautiful hardwoods. A serene settings that is easy to access in your RV rental
