Visitors to Pickwick Landing State Park have so many options to keep busy and have some fun in the sun. The park allows all types of boats, and there are two public boat ramps inside the park. A full-service marina is also inside the park. Visitors can purchase boat supplies, snacks, and souvenirs at the marina's store. Load your water toys and pull them behind your rental RV, or you can rent canoes, stand-up paddleboards, kayaks, and fishing or pontoon boats from the park.

Visitors can explore native societies that helped shape the Tennessee River Valley. The Cherokee Nation suffered greatly on the Trail of Tears, and the museum has a detailed timeline following that dark time in Tennessee history.
