Visitors to Pickwick Landing State Park have so many options to keep busy and have some fun in the sun. The park allows all types of boats, and there are two public boat ramps inside the park. The Walking Tall movies are centered on the life and death of Buford Pusser. Walk through Pusser’s home and learn more about this illustrious man and his contribution to law enforcement.

The Tennessee River Museum in Savannah displays one-of-a-kind mementos detailing the history of the Tennessee River Valley. The museum displays more than 200 prehistoric fossils. Visitors can explore native societies that helped shape the Tennessee River Valley. The Cherokee Nation suffered greatly on the Trail of Tears, and the museum has a detailed timeline following that dark time in Tennessee history.
