The shallow, natural Reelfoot Lake lies in northwest Tennessee. Although much of it is a useable lake, some are much more swampy. The lake is known for the bald eagles that head there year after year, and for the bald cypress trees. It is these features, combined with the many recreational opportunities that it offers, that encourages people to book an RV in Lake County

Camping at Reelfoot Lake

A good choice when you rent a camper at Reelfoot Lake is to camp in Reelfoot State Park itself. There are two campsites within the park, the first of which is South Campground, located at the south end of the lake. There are 86 paved sites available that have 20, 30, 50-amp electrical service, three bathhouses, and a dump station. This state park RV campground gets very busy in the summer months, so it is worth booking early to avoid disappointment.
