Getting Outdoors
For the keen anglers among you, Aquilla Lake is a must-fish destination. Its waters are filled with various species including largemouth bass, flathead catfish, blue catfish, and bluegill sunfish. To catch these fish, campers can either fish from the forty-four miles of lake shoreline, or rent a boat and fish out on the lake. There are three public boat ramps located on the shores of Aquilla Lake which have restrooms and an abundance of parking. There is also a free public fishing pier located below the dam.
