Discover Forney RV rentals for memorable road trips

Texas is full of charming little towns, but none are quite so welcoming as Forney. The small community on the farthest reaches of the Dallas-Fort Worth metro area is known for being the “Antiques Capital of Texas” because a man named Red Whaley moved his antique store from Dallas to Forney which spurred a domino effect; sooner or later the town was full of antique stores and people from all around the country poured into town to look for rare pieces of furniture, artwork, and many other objects. Forney was ravaged by a major tornado in 2012 but has since recovered and flourished as one of the finest destinations around Dallas.

Explore the Outdoors

Forney has several exemplary parks for you to enjoy when you arrive in town and rent an RV. Forney Community Park is the crown jewel of the Forney Parks Department as it contains many exciting attractions for both children and adults. The basketball courts, softball complex, athletic fields, and splash water park are just a few of the reasons to see the park, but the amphitheater is one of the largest attractions. Spellman Amphitheater hosts private events and public concerts.

City Sightseeing

Forney was once a tiny village called Brooklyn, but was renamed after John W. Forney, a local railroad official. The remnants of this village now make up the historic downtown area with a unique vibe. Entrepreneurs from Dallas have flocked to Forney to open new businesses or second locations of thriving restaurants and retail stores.

RV Parks to Visit

Forney is a great place to rent an RV for many reasons, but chief among these reasons is the accessibility to shopping centers, fuel stations, and mechanics specializing in RV repair. Campgrounds and RV parks are extremely easy to find upon arriving in town as there are many in and around the immediate vicinity.

The RV was very nice, very clean. I love how he has the bunk room decorated for children. The AC was immaculate. The host is a very quiet man, doesn’t talk much, but he was on time with delivery and pick up.

The Opus OP4 was fantastic. Easy to set up & take down. We loved the outdoor kitchen & refrigerator. it pulled great. You really didn't even know it was back there. The DO35 Articulating hitch was the best! This unit has the remote trailer mover which makes positioning the unit super easy. Chris was very accommodating and did a great job on the walkthrough when we picked the unit up as well as responding to any questions that we had while on the road.
