One of the settlers had visited Europe in the past and decided to name this new town “Italy.” It’s not clear how it was pronounced at the time, but it is now pronounced slightly differently than the European country for which it is named.

We took an 8-day road trip through Texas and Louisiana, covering a total of about 1,100 miles!
It was great. It's not an RV you can park anywhere, but it's very easy to find RV campsites.
We had a small problem with the leveling system at the very end, but Emre was very helpful throughout the trip and was able to answer all of our questions!
