Lake Conroe is located in the southeast portion of the great state of Texas. The small town of Willis is found just east of the lake, while the nearest larger town is Montgomery, TX, which is located on the south side of this long body of water. The Houston metro area is found around 50 miles to the south, and the Gulf of Mexico is around 100 miles to the southwest.
