Getting Outdoors

Boasting 450-miles of shoreline, Lake Livingstone is one of the largest lakes in Texas, meaning there is plenty of space for everyone to get out and about on the lake’s waters. Boating is one of the most popular activities on the lake and the best way to access the lake’s hidden bays and private coves. Whether you have your own boat or have decided to rent one from the marina, the waters are easily reached via one of the three boat ramps found on the lake’s shore. Watercraft are not permitted on Lake Livingston, so consider spending a tranquil afternoon on the waters in either a canoe, kayak or paddleboat. For the more adventurous, why not paddle out to Pine Island, a picturesque island that sits around three miles from the edge of the lake.

Camping at Lake Livingston

RV camping at Lake Livingston is a breeze thanks to the five well-equipped campgrounds scattered around Lake Livingston State Park. Across the five campgrounds, there are close to 150 sites, over half of which are equipped with full hookups for your rental RV.

We recently rented this RV for a trip from Houston to Colorado to help my mother-in-law, and the entire experience was fantastic. Leo was extremely helpful from the start and always responded quickly whenever we had a question. It made the whole process smooth.
