Lake Tyler has a reputation for being a great spot to catch largemouth bass, drawing in visitors from miles around that go motorhome camping and take out a boat on this relatively clear water as much as possible. As well as largemouth bass, a range of other fish are in abundance including sunfish, catfish, crappie, and spotted bass. Thanks to the mild climate, fishing on the lake is possible no matter the time of year, with the lake waters and surrounding state park RV campgrounds getting extremely busy during the summer months.
Camping at Lake Tyler
One of the best places to go camping with an RV when staying around the Lake Tyler area is Lake Tyler Marina Resort. The general store is stocked with everything you may need to enjoy your time at the lake, such as fishing supplies, gasoline, and a hearty breakfast. There is also a boat launch and facilities to hire a paddle boat for those that fancy a few hours out on the water. RV sites come with both water and electric hookup with some lakeside plots.

Nearby is the town of Tyler, which is often known as 'America’s Rose Capital." There are tons of things to keep you entertained in this town, from museums to zip lines. Every October there is a hugely popular Rose Festival, bringing visitors from miles around in their Tyler camper rentals.

Gustavo is one of the best hosts I’ve met! He is a quick communicator, polite, and very responsive! The two recliners have been removed and replaced with a small pull out sofa. Other than that, the camper was great!
