Arkansas is terrific for outdoor recreation since it’s home to several national and state parks, forests, and lakes. Not too far from the city of Dierks is the Dierks Lake, a great spot to consider for a motorhome camping trip. Located in the west-central part of the state, in the Ouachita region, the lake was formed in 1975 after completion of the Dierks Dam across the Saline River; it has since been an attraction for adventure seekers. Dierks Lake now spans 1360-acres, and although its primary purpose is flood control, water supply, and fish and wildlife conservation, the lake is a popular outdoor spot, offering up quite a few recreational options.
