Discover Bethel Island RV rentals for memorable road trips

The San Francisco Bay squeezes into the San Pablo Bay which condenses down into the Suisan Bay and, ultimately, the San Joaquin River. It’s just off the San Joaquin River where Bethel Island sits. It’s nestled along the Franks Tract State Recreation Area and only about 50 miles outside the San Francisco city limits. If you search for an RV in Bethel Island, you will be surrounded by water, beauty, and plenty of natural wonder, not to mention the exciting city life San Francisco and Sacramento (to the north) offers.

The Great Outdoors

Big Break Regional Shoreline is located in Oakley, California, and is a decent park with a good visitor center. Most of the walking trails are paved so it’s ideal for bicycles and strollers and you can fish off one of the piers here. There is a large amphitheater that may have a concert going on, but most of the time you’ll likely find people congregating or sitting down just relaxing. The visitor center does offer some wonderful exhibits that can give you some history into this particular place.

RV Parks

Not too far away is Sugar Barge Resort and Marina. They offer water, sewer, and 30 amp electric and provide big rig access. The grounds are considered exceptionally clean and the restrooms are taken care of daily. They have plenty of trees for shade, but it is advised that you make a reservation.

Exploring the City

While you may not find a lot of nightlife or other city type activities in Bethel Island when you rent an RV here, you can head over to Brentwood to visit some vineyards. If you enjoy wine and doing some wine tasting, this could be a great date night activity with your spouse or significant other.

This was the perfect RV for our California vacation. James is the best host, very communicative and responsive. The van is equipped with all the necessities except the more personal items as would be expected. We brought a french press coffee pot so we could enjoy good coffee instead of instant. We bought some bedding when we started out because some nights were chilly. Also since our trip was wine oriented, we bought a wine opener and some glasses. Paper plates were just fine with us. Cooking was easy on the propane stove top and we never used more than 8% of the battery power overnight. When we have a chance to explore more of California we will definitely be contacting James for use of "Husky".

My wife and I went on a scenic roadtrip through Crater Lake NP and Volcanic Lassen NP, and we had such a wonderful experience both with the RV, as well as with Joselito!
