If you want to take advantage of all the Bay Area has to offer, rent an RV in Daly City. Daly City, California is beautifully located on the western side of the San Francisco peninsula, immediately south of the city of San Francisco. It is named for businessman and landowner John Donald Daly and was incorporated on March 22, 1911. Daly City has endured many earthquakes and subsequent fires since its inception due to its location near the San Andreas Fault, but is a strong and vibrant community nonetheless.

Known as the “Gateway to the Peninsula,” Daly City is a coastal community that’s bordered by the Pacific Ocean to the west. Like much of the Bay Area, Daly City’s climate is frequently foggy and cool in the summer and wet but mild in the winters, making it the perfect place to book an RV in San Mateo County.

Although the beach itself is not open to the public, there is a public parking lot and hiking trails that lead to a scenic overlook that provides stunning panoramic views of the coast. You may even see paragliders while hiking in the park!

Another way to experience the outdoors in Daly City is to take a guided horseback tour. This is a wonderful activity for kids as well as adults, and no experience is required. Tours frequently take you along the beach or up onto the bluffs to provide wonderful views of the ocean.

The Cow Palace is a Daly City venue with a long and storied history.
